All three Michigan Soo City commissioners up for re-election in today's general election have retained their seats.

Commissioners Ray Bauer, Marilyn Burton and William Lynn have all been re-elected, defeating Lake Superior State University student Jay Gage and correctional officer Matthew Calder.

Here are the results:

William Lynn - 1,088 Ray Bauer - 936 Marilyn Burton - 824 Jay Gage - 751 Matthew Calder - 431 Turnout was 17.3 percent of eligible voters.

Voters also approved a 0.5 mill increase to pay for Chippewa County's senior meals and services program.

In Hulbert Township, a 3 mill renewal for fire protection was overwhelmingly approved.
