Okay you guys - a SooToday.com home-page poll reveals that only half of you made it downtown to see this year's fireworks.

Of the other half who were there, 134 of you said the new corkscrew pyrotechnics and barge location were an improvement.

Ninety-eight readers thought this year's fireworks were worse than previous years.

And 43 of you noticed no difference.

"The launch barge started in front of the tent pavilion and ended the show in front of the Soo Locks," reports SooToday.com's Peter Gualtieri.

"Many of these newer fireworks were shot much lower into the sky which may explain some of those complaints about poor visibility," Peter says. "Another cause may be the turn in the boardwalk which would obstruct visibility. People just have to learn that the best place to watch the fireworks is behind Tim Horton's!"
