************************* Forty-four-year-old Melvin Pine of no fixed address was arrested on the 15th of April at 10:25 a.m. at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Centre and charged with one count of robbery and one count of breach of probation.

It is alleged that on the 23rd of February the accused and co-accused Annie Sutherland, age 29, of #212-27 Terry Fox Place (arrested 7th of April, also charged with one count of robbery), attended at the residence of a male person, known to them, and while there they tied up the victim, assaulted and threatened him until he revealed his ATM PIN number.

The two accused are then alleged to have withdrawn a quantity of cash from the victim’s account.

The 56-year-old victim received non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault.

The accused Melvin Pine is to appear in bail court this morning.
