Melissa Elliott accused of impaired driving

************************* Impaired driving arrest Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 36-year-old Melissa Elliott of 13 Timothy Place on the 5th of December at 4:24 a.m. at Sault Area Hospital and charged her with one count of failing to provide a breath sample.

It is alleged that on the 5th of December, while under the influence of alcohol, the accused was operating a Chrysler vehicle northbound on Black Road, when she lost control of the vehicle and started to fishtail in the northbound lane.

The vehicle made contact with the shoulder of the road and rolled over coming to rest in the ditch.

The accused was transported to hospital by EMS for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police attended at the hospital and when they made the roadside test demand the accused refused to provide a sample.

She is to appear in court on the 17th of January.
