NEWS RELEASE

ONTARIO LOTTERY AND GAMING CORP.

******************** "I've been playing for as long as I can remember. I really enjoy LOTTO 6/49 and I love ENCORE," Rose Connell of Kagawong told staff at the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corp.'s office in Sault Ste. Marie when she claimed her ENCORE prize of $1,000,000 from the November 30th draw.

"I remember hearing the jingle and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw all those zeros. I had to ask the lady to check the ticket for me again," joked Rose. "I couldn't really remember much after that. I called my two children and told them to "sit down ... I got some news."

Rose, 58, is a retired miner and keeps herself busy as a volunteer driver for several health care agencies in the Manitoulin area.

"I've been retired for a few years. I find some good in offering my time to those in need."

True to her nature, Rose plans to take care of her close family and friends.

"I've always wanted to provide the best things for my kids. I can do that now. I'll take care of myself too. I'm planning to build my dream house on the lake," Rose said.

The winning ENCORE ticket was purchased at IDA Island Pharmacy in Little Current.
