Meet a couple of local heroes

Soo Greyhounds Chris Lawrence and Jeff Carter are back in town, both sporting medals won in international competition over the holidays. Lawrence won a gold medal with Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Soo Greyhounds Chris Lawrence and Jeff Carter are back in town, both sporting medals won in international competition over the holidays.

Lawrence won a gold medal with Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Carter won a silver medal and was an all-star for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Helsinki.

Both players were recognized by their home club prior to Friday's 4-2 loss to the Plymouth Whalers.
