Mayor Manzo congratulates Alexander Porter

Ward 6 Councillor Frank Manzo is filling in as acting mayor at tonight's meeting of Sault Ste. Marie City Council, in the absence of Mayor John Rowswell.

Acting Mayor Manzo is presenting a special plaque to Alexander Porter, receipient of a $20,500 provincial Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation.

Porter is from École Secondaire Notre-Dame-des-Grands-Lacs. The award is intended to improve the capacity of recipients to lead and innovate, collaboratively identify and meet the needs of their community, and also to connect them to a supportive and encouraging peer network.
