Marlene is the million-dollar winner

(TORONTO) – Marlene Ruck of Sault Ste. Marie is living her dreams to the max after winning a $1,000,000 prize in the January 15, 2016 LOTTO MAX draw. 

“The draw date of my winning ticket was the sixth anniversary of my father’s death,” shared Marlene, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim her prize. “I was shocked when I realized I won. I called my husband to meet me at the store because I didn’t know what to do with the great news!” 

After putting some of her windfall away for retirement, Marlene plans to have some fun.

“We’ll take the kids and grandkids to Disney World!” 

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $2.4 billion, including 43 jackpot wins and 289 MAXMILLIONS prizes, right across the province. 

The winning ticket was purchased at the CNIB Lottery Kiosk in Walmart on Great Northern Road in Sault Ste. Marie.
