Mark charged with possession for purpose of trafficking

On August 1, 2013, city police conducted a vehicle stop which resulted in a seizure of a large amount of marijuana, digital scales and packaging materials.

Items seized were submitted for forensic analysis and on January 30, 2014, officers from the Forensic Unit of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service was able to identify fingerprints found on the packaging belonging to 22-year-old Mark Lomas of Fairmont Drive.

Mr. Lomas attended the City Police Station on February 18, where he was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He will be appearing in Provincial Court on March 24.
