Manager of Norwest Inn gets hit by a truck

************************* Mary Gregoire, age 47, of no fixed address, will appear in bail court this morning.

It is alleged that last evening, the accused attended at the Norwest Inn on Hynes Street and stole a mini fridge from the deck of the motel and placed it in the rear of her pickup truck.

When the motel manager attempted to prevent the accused from leaving the area, the accused [allegedly] backed her vehicle up, struck the victim and pinned her behind her truck and another parked vehicle.

Police arrived at this time and arrested the accused.

Ms. Gregoire is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of assault with a weapon (vehicle) and one count of dangerous driving.

The victim was transported to the Sault Area Hospital from treatment.
