Man to face assault charges

**************************** Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 28 year-old Ron Owl of 170 River Road Sagamok First Nation Ontario on an outstanding warrant on the 9th of August and charged him with one count of assault, one count of threaten death or bodily harm, one count of mischief, one count of fail to appear court and two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that the accused was wanted for assaulting and threatening a male known to him while at his apartment on the 1st of May 2011.

It is further alleged that the accused caused damage inside the victim’s apartment.

The victim received non-life threatening injuries as a result.

At the time of the incident the accused was under the influence of alcohol and was on a probation order with conditions not to consume alcohol and further, was to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
