A North Bay man has been arrested and charged after police say a knife was pulled in a road rage incident on Dutrisac Road in West Nipissing.

On March 14 shortly before 12:30 p.m., OPP responded to a weapon complaint.

It was reported that two vehicles had been involved in a road rage incident on Highway 17 and pulled onto a side road to confront each other.

"One driver brandished a knife while uttering a threat to harm the other driver," says Constable Rob Lewis in a news release.

Steven Denis, 32, from North Bay, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

Denis is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on April 4.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
