************************* OPP and Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service ask for public assistance in locating missing man

LITTLE CURRENT, ON – Manitoulin OPP and the Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service are currently searching for a missing person and are asking for the public’s assistance.

Byron Trudeau, age 20, described as 6 feet tall and about 225 pounds.

He has a stocky build with black hair in a brush cut, and brown eyes.

He was last wearing a grey hooded jacket, blue jeans and white Adidas running shoes.

Trudeau was taken to the Manitoulin Health Center in Little Current by the Wikwemikong Police in regards to mental health concerns for his own safety.

He was seen by a physician and was to be transferred to a psychiatric facility.

While being transferred to an ambulance, the subject fled from [paramedics] at the Manitoulin Health Centre and was last seen in the Little Current area.

The Manitoulin OPP is asking for public assistance in locating Mr. Trudeau as the police are concerned for his own personal safety.

If anyone sees Mr. Trudeau they are asked to call the OPP at 1-800-310-1122.

The OPP advise there is no concern for the publics safety.

The Manitoulin OPP along with the OPP Emergency Response team and the OPP canine unit are presently searching the Little Current area.
