Man charged with breaking into ex's house, assaulting her

A 34-year-old local man is facing multiple charges after a woman's East End home was illegally entered. Police accuse the man of getting into the place by cutting out a screen at the back of the residence.

A 34-year-old local man is facing multiple charges after a woman's East End home was illegally entered.

Police accuse the man of getting into the place by cutting out a screen at the back of the residence.

The woman was allegedly choked during a subsequent attack.

Police arrested the man around 6 p.m. last night.

He's charged with assault, break and enter and breach of a recognizance that required him to stay away from her.

The man will make a video court appearance this morning.
