Man attacks girlfriend's head with wrench. Deep cuts

************************* A 48-year-old male was arrested early this morning and charged with assault with a weapon.

It is alleged that on July 2 at approximately 9:30 p.m. the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend by striking her several times to the head with a wrench.

The assault resulted in the victim suffering several deep cuts to the top and rear of her head.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The accused is charged with one count of assault with a weapon causing bodily harm.

The incident occurred at the common-law residence of the victim and accused.
