Make your big move at the Bon Soo chess tournament

Sault Ste. Marie Public Library is inviting you to make your move at the Bon Soo Chess Tournament.

The free, all-ages event takes place at the North Branch Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration opens Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. Just call the North Branch at 705-759-5248.   

Rules:

• four-round tournament (11:00, 12:00, 13:30, 14:30)
• Time control: 25m | 10s 
• Pre-registration required (36 player capacity)
• Sign in begins at 10:30 a.m.; first game begins 11 a.m. sharp
• Touch move rule in effect. No byes allowed
• Must have ability to checkmate
