************************* Male arrested in overnight robbery at Mac’s Mart
Thirty-five-year-old Dale Boyer of #1-566 Albert Street West was arrested at 2:29 a.m. this morning on Tancred Street after he allegedly robbed the Mac’s Convenience Store on Gore Street.
It is alleged that the accused entered the store around 2:25 a.m. wearing a bandana over his face, advising he had a gun, demanded cash and cigarettes and threatened to shoot the clerk.
The accused fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and lottery scratch tickets.
Patrol officers and the canine unit attended in the area and the accused was quickly located by officers a short distance away on Tancred Street.
The accused was found in possession of the stolen items.
Officers also discovered that the accused was wanted on several outstanding warrants and he was subsequently arrested.
The clerk was not physically injured during the incident.
The accused was charged with one count of robbery.
In relation to the warrants, he was further charged with one count of failing to attend for prints and two counts of failing to appear in court from a residential break and enter charge in October.
He is to appear in bail court this morning.
************************* Break and enter reports
- EJM Catering on Albert Street West was entered at around 12:35 a.m. overnight. The alarm was activated. It is not known at this time if anything was taken.
- The Brandes Gravel Pit and the Palmer Paving Asphalt Plant compound in the 2000 block of Great Northern Road were broken into sometime overnight on the 29th of November. Several trailers were broken into and electrical wire, heaters and tools were reported stolen.
