Machete Man arrested on Carufel Avenue

************************* City Police responded to a call shortly after 8 p.m. last night in regards to a male with a machete.

It is alleged that the male had in his possession a machete at 161 Carufel Avenue and when officers arrived he refused to put it down.

31-year-old John Howard Raymer of 161 Carufel Avenue was arrested shortly after police arrival.

He has been charged with one count of possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, one count of assault with a weapon and one count of assaulting a police officer.

He will be appearing in court this morning.
