Luxurious yacht named in Gen7 Fuel lawsuit up for sale

The 70-foot yacht allegedly purchased with misappropriated funds by the non-Indigenous owners of Gen7 Fuel is currently on the selling block — and it can be all yours for a cool US$3.3 million. 

According to the seller’s website, the 2022 Azimut S7 that's been dubbed ‘Cuz We Can’ is currently located in Hollywood, Fla. The seller has listed a number of features to lure in prospective buyers, including a toilet with bidet faucet in the crew cabin, an owner’s cabin with a walk-in wardrobe and safes in both the crew cabin and master cabin. 

Glenn Page and Mandy Cox — the married, non-Indigenous couple behind the Gen7 Fuel brand — allegedly used funds from Indigenous-owned fuel supplier Original Traders Energy to pay for the yacht from Italian shipbuilder Azimut Benetti at an approximate price tag of US$3.6 million and paid to have it delivered to Italy while vacationing there.  

Page, Cox and others have been named in a multimillion-dollar lawsuit launched by the owners of Original Traders Energy this past October. 

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the named defendants have yet to file statements of defence. Lawyers representing the defendants say their clients deny the accusations.
