Look who's leading United Way's campaign this fall

UNITED WAY OF SAULT STE. MARIE

************************* The board of directors, United Way Sault Ste. Marie are pleased to introduce Joe Krmpotich, chair of the 2010 annual United Way campaign.

The 2010 campaign will kick-off September 15, 2010, and run until December 10, 2010.

Joe Krmpotich was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie and brings a wealth of community knowledge and experience to the position of 2010 campaign cabinet chair.

Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Arts - major in sociology from Algoma University and in 2009 received a leadership scholarship with the United Steelworkers in Pittsburgh.

Joe is employed with the United Steelworkers as union coordinator and has been involved with labour in our community since 1997, holding various positions.

Joe serves on the Sault Ste. Marie and District Labour Council as secretary.

Joe is a director for the Sault Ste. Marie Airport and is past director of the Group Health Centre.

Joe has been involved with United Way campaigns throughout his career and was the vice chair for the 2009 cabinet.

Joe and his volunteer cabinet members are actively recruiting the support of individuals, leaders, businesses and labour in preparation for the 53rd annual United Way of Sault Ste. Marie Changing Lives . . . the United Way Campaign.
