Look who's graduating from Sault College! (full grad list)

Francis Ali, a former child soldier from Sudan, is the keynote speaker today at two convocation ceremonies for the newest graduates of Sault College.

Ali received a standing ovation from fellow students when he graduated this morning from the college's truck and coach program.

He talked passionately about his life journey from the political turmoil of Africa to completing his education at Sault College.

There are 866 candidates for graduation today.

About 480 are expected to attend today's ceremonies at the Essar Centre.

Mayor John Rowswell was given an honorary diploma in the college's civil engineering technician program, recognizing for his generous commitment of time and energy to the community.
