Sarah Slean's elegant, poignant, and inspired musical style has garnered her three Juno Award nominations, two Gemini Award nominations, and a loyal worldwide fan base.

She's just one of the many diverse Canadian talents included on the 2009 Algoma Fall Festival performance roster announced today.

Classically trained on the piano, Slean artfully marries, bends and redefines genres such as cabaret, folk, pop and classical to create a unique musical landscape for her passionate voice to soar above.

Her music has been featured in the hit television series Party of Five, Dawson's Creek and Felicity, and in 2004 she starred along side Mary Maragret O'Hara in the musical film Black Widow.

The 2009 Algoma Fall Festival welcomes Sarah Slean to Sault Ste. Marie on Friday, October 9 at 8 p.m.
