***************************** The Royal Bank of Canada today celebrated its 100th anniversary of serving the Steelton community.

RBC Steelton Branch marked the special event with a cheque presentation to Algoma Family Services for $15,000.

This contribution will allow for 12 additional local schools to be trained to deliver "Al’s Pals," a program that creatively uses puppetry, music and role-playing to support development of social, emotional and behavioural skills in children aged three to eight.

Studies have shown that early interventions of this type significantly promote strong mental health in children.
