************************* Battle for Ward 6 is heating up

Ward 6 historically has been highly contested and all indications point to a repeat of previous elections.

Tony Mancuso is prepared to face the challenge of running for City councillor in Ward 6.

After Tony’s first attempt at municipal politics in 2006, he managed a respectable fourth-place finish.

The decision to run this time was made shortly after the results of the 2006 election.

His drive to give back to the community is the motivation for entering the race a second time.

His passion for people is well documented through his countless volunteer hours stemming back to the early eighties from his involvement over 28 years with Big Brothers Association of Sault Ste. Marie as a big brother, committee and board member.

As well, Tony sits on the accessibility advisory committee since 2006, is an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 12003 and his involvement with Sault Amateur Soccer Association as an indoor soccer coach.

His current employment for 24 years with Community Living Algoma further demonstrates his care and compassion he has for people.

With diverse employment experience, working in heavy industry, an entrepreneur and being employed in the social services field, he can bring a varied perspective to city council when dealing with issues.
