Opening kicks off Casey’s Feed the Soul Fundraiser to benefit the Soup Kitchen

MISSISSAUGA, ON – (April 14, 2008) – Casey’s Grill • Bar, a Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. brand, today announced its newest location will open in Sault Ste. Marie at Algoma’s Water Tower Inn on April 23.

The grand opening will kick off a month-long fundraising campaign at the new restaurant to benefit the Soup Kitchen, Sault Ste. Marie’s local community centre food service.

Designed in line with the new Casey’s prototype that was unveiled 16 months ago, the Sault Ste. Marie location offers an upscale dining experience for casual diners.

The design expresses a contemporary design in dramatic colours along with a unique café/ bar, many booths that provide a more intimate dining experience, greater spacing between tables and feature lighting and wall accessories.

Casey’s recently redesigned menu features a variety of internationally influenced cuisine, healthy choice options and traditional Casey’s original favourites. The first community initiative Casey’s Sault Ste. Marie will hold is the Feed the Soul campaign benefiting Sault Ste. Marie’s Soup Kitchen as part of Casey’s first chain-wide fundraiser.

During the campaign, from April 28th to May 25th, one dollar from every item sold from the Feed the Soul feature menu in Sault Ste. Marie will be donated to the Soup Kitchen through the Ontario Association of Food Banks.

The special menu features a range of Casey’s most popular menu items including Fiesta Nachos, the Butcher Block Burger, Louisiana Jambalaya, Casey’s Famous Back Ribs and Apple and Berry Crumble.

Prices on the special Feed the Soul menu start at $5.99.

The Soup Kitchen Community Centre of Sault Ste. Marie serves a meal a day, Monday to Friday at 11 a.m., for those in need.
