Local PUC technicians helping restore power in southern Ontario

Four local PUC workers left this morning and were set to begin work in Parry Sound before continuing south

Four PUC power technicians are on their way to southern Ontario today to assist in restoring power to communities hit by the winter storm rolling through Ontario and Quebec.

The storm, which has left hundreds of thousands without power due to blizzard conditions, has been ongoing with some communities expecting more snow on Christmas Day.

Local technicians Christian Ouellet, Curtis Deschamps, Bryce Vanderburg and Jeff Cole this morning to assist in getting power back to those affected.

The group was expected to begin work in Parry Sound before continuing south.

How long it will take to repair the damage caused by the storm is not known.
