NEWS RELEASE
STAMP OUT HUNGER
*************************
Instead of delivering mail on Saturday, May 12, Sault Ste Marie Canada Post employees, along with friends and family, will be in all neighbourhoods picking up food donations to help those less fortunate in our community.

As we come together to help feed the hungry, we encourage our customers across the city and area to support this vital one-day food drive. Working together, we will continue making a difference in the lives of so many in need.

Donating food when it’s needed most

The food drive’s timing is crucial. The Soup Kitchen often receives donations leading up to Christmas and by springtime, shelves and food supplies are depleted and remain low throughout the summer months. This initiative will Help fill that void. Please consider giving.

How the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive works

Place non-perishable food donations in a bag and attach the pink flyer you will receive in the mail to the bag. Leave your donation by your mailbox on Saturday, May 12 by 10 a.m., and Canada Post will do the rest. Please ensure that your bag (with flyer attached) is visible from the street. It’s that simple!
