Local man accused of assault on woman at party

************************* Male arrested for assault on female

Thirty-nine-year-old Steven Oliver of 188 Dennis Street (upstairs) was arrested on the 3rd of December at 10:35 p.m. at his residence and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.

It is alleged that on the 3rd of December just after 10 p.m., several persons were drinking at a party at the residence of the accused.

The accused, while in an intoxicated state, got into a dispute with a female attendee and assaulted her.

At the time of the incident the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He is to appear in court on the 25th of January.

************************* Break and enter reports

- An apartment in the 600 block of Macdonald Avenue was entered sometime during the past two weeks. Coins were reported stolen.

- A residence on Moody Street was entered. The home was ransacked and it is not known at this time what was taken.

************************* Theft reports

- Licence plates were reported stolen off vehicles parked on Brown Street and Wilson Street.

************************* Mischief report

- Tires were slashed on a vehicle parked on Grandhaven Crescent.
