Local fuel and lubrication companies join forces

Keeping it all in the family; two family-owned fuel and lubricant distribution businesses have agreed to terms that will see Davis Fuels become a division of McDougall Energy Inc. A 72-year-old company headquartered out of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, McDougall Energy has acquired the assets of Davis Fuels.

Over the past several months McDougall Energy has worked closely with the Davis family in reaching this agreement, ensuring that this transition is seamless for Davis Fuels’ customer base located across Southern Ontario.

The 61-year-old Davis Fuels business will continue to operate under their flagship name however will now function as a division of McDougall Energy Inc.

Davis Fuels’ steadfast commitment towards customers, as well as their over 61 years of experience in the fuel distribution industry assisted McDougall Energy in proceeding with this deal.

Similar to McDougall Energy, Davis Fuels maintains a strong relationship with its customers and as such has grown into one of the largest independently-owned petroleum distributors in Ontario.

They have become the household name in such regions as Brantford, Brant County, Burford, Simcoe, London, Hagersville, Tillsonburg, and Woodstock. As a result of this acquisition McDougall Energy will further their company’s reach in Southern Ontario complementing its existing operations.

This deal was effective on Dec. 15, 2017 with Davis Fuels entering the McDougall Energy fold. During this transition period there will be no scheduled service interruptions in regions where Davis Fuels does business.

Davis Fuels’ staff members, including members of the Davis Family, will remain with the business and will continue to operate the facilities as per usual. Davis Fuels customers are encouraged to contact their local office or service representative with questions or for more information.
