************************* Female arrested on outstanding warrants for theft-related incidents

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32-year-old Lee-Ann Perrault of no fixed address yesterday afternoon on McDonald Avenue who was wanted on outstanding warrants for theft-related incidents.

She has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that on the 24th of November the accused attended at the residence of a relative and stole a purse and some money.

It is further alleged that on the 14th of October the accused was at an apartment of a person known to her and stole cash and some other household items.

The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.

************************* Domestic-related arrests

A 21-year-old female was arrested on the 3rd of December at 5:15 a.m. after turning herself in at the City Police station and charged with one count of assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on the 1st of December at approximately 1 a.m., the accused was at a downtown residence in company of her ex-boyfriend when the two went outside and began to argue. During the argument the accused struck the victim in the head with a bottle. The victim received non-life-threatening injuries as a result.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 27-year-old male at 9:15 p.m. last night and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that on the 1st of December the accused got into a verbal argument with his common-law partner at their residence and the accused assaulted her. No injuries were reported.

Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 30-year-old male yesterday afternoon after responding to a domestic dispute at a West End residence. The accused was charged with two counts of breach of probation as at the time of the incident he was on probation conditions to remain away from the victim and her residence due to previous domestic-related assaults.
