************************* 20-year-old Keith Crack of 360 Second Avenue was arrested on the 27th of September at 1:32 a.m. on Shafer Avenue and charged with one count of break and enter with intent, two counts of resist or obstruct peace officer, one count of breach of a release document, one count of breach of probation.

It is alleged that the accused, along with a female who has not been identified as of yet, broke into a residence on Wellington Street West on the 27th of September at around 1:28 a.m.

A witness had called City Police when they observed persons entering the residence through a window.

Police attended in the area and the persons fled on foot.

The accused was located and apprehended in a backyard on Shafer Avenue.

When officers were arresting the accused, it is alleged that he struggled with them and also gave them a false name.

Officers ran a check on the accused and discovered that the accused was on a recognizance order to be in his residence 24 hours a day except in the company of his surety and that he was wanted on several outstanding warrants.

He was further charged in relation to the warrants with three counts of failing to appear for court/ prints.

At the time of the break and enter the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.
