Judging tonight for Christmas lighting awards
(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON) Judging for the 2011 Christmas Lighting Awards will take place this evening, Tuesday, December 27.
Residents are reminded to make sure their Christmas lights are turned on by 5 p.m.
There are two award categories – residential and business. In the Residential Category, two winners per ward will be selected.
In the Business Category, three awards are presented citywide (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place).
This program, co-sponsored by PUC Services, was created to acknowledge community pride and recognize the great effort many people put into holiday decorating.
“PUC Services, through its support of the Christmas Lighting Awards program, recognizes the efforts of residents and businesses in the use of lights and decorations to bring brightness to our community at this festive time of year,” says Brian Curran, President and CEO, PUC Inc.
Award plaques will be presented to the winners at a City Council meeting in the New Year.
