ELLIOT LAKE - While on general patrol on September 14 at approximately 12:04 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle driving erratically on Central Avenue in Elliot Lake.

The vehicle was stopped and the diver was charged.

Charged with impaired operation and over 80 is Karen Cooper (64) of Elliot Lake.

Cooper is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on November 2.

****************************** Break-and-enter on Roman Avenue

ELLIOT LAKE - Police continue their investigation on a break-and-enter at a residence on Roman Avenue in Elliot Lake.

The homeowners had been away overnight on September 11 and upon returning to their residence noticed the break enter and theft.

Police attended the residence and located the point of entry.

Once inside the subject(s) entered all rooms in the residence.

Items taken are as follows:

- A Remington 20 gauge pump action shotgun

- A black laptop

- Jewellery: gold earrings, necklaces, watches, gold chains, wedding band, gold necklace with an emblem, ring with an eagle, pocket watch

- A container with loose change, approximately $1,000

- Coin holder with approximately $300

- Container with nickels and dimes, approximately $200

- Envelop with an undisclosed amount of money

Anyone with information regarding the above break, enter and theft is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Any information that leads to the arrests or identity of persons responsible can lead to a cash reward.

****************************** Possession over 30 grams

ELLIOT LAKE - Police have charged a youth after receiving a complaint of a suspicious male on Pearson Drive.

On September 13 at approximately 9:21 p.m. officers located the male sitting at a bus stop on Pearson Drive.

Charged with the following is a 17-year-old male from Central Frontenac Township:

- Possession of cannabis - over 30 grams

- Utter threat to cause death or bodily harm

The youth remains in custody.

The name of the youth will not be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
