Justin Trudeau to visit Algoma Steel tomorrow

The visit comes one week after U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs were lifted.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be in Sault Ste. Marie Friday morning to meet with employees of Algoma Steel Inc.

The visit comes one week after U.S. steel tariffs were lifted, ending a year-long standoff with the Trump administration. On Tuesday Canada, in turn, dropped its retaliatory tariffs against the U.S.

Trudeau is expected at Algoma Steel's No. 2 gate at 9:30 a.m.
