NEWS RELEASE

On February 10, 2013 at approximately 2:15 a.m. officers were conducting a RIDE program on Wellington Street East and Fauquier Avenue.
The accused was driving a GMC pickup truck and when he saw the RIDE vehicles attempted to evade the stop.
The vehicle and driver were located on Railroad Avenue.
The accused provided a sample into a road side screening device and failed.
The accused was arrested for consuming over the legal limit and transported to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at which time the accused blew over the legal limit again.
The accused Joshua Drew Kirk, age 22 of 307 Pinewood Drive, Echo Bay will appear in court on March 11, 2013 at 9 a.m.
