********************** A vehicle stopped by City Police night around 5:30 p.m. resulted in the arrest of two males who will appear in bail court this morning.

Last evening officers stopped a vehicle in the downtown area for speeding.

Officers learned that the driver, Joshua Taylor, was wanted for a break and enter.

It is alleged that Mr. Taylor broke into Prime Cut Meats located at 148 Northern Avenue on the 23rd of May 2004.

It is alleged that the accused stole an undisclosed amount of money from the business.

When officers arrested Joshua Taylor a search of the accused revealed a small quantity of what appeared to be cocaine.

At the time of the offence the accused was on probation with a number of conditions.

Officers also searched the vehicle and located approximately six grams of marijuana and a butterfly knife.

The two males appearing in bail court this morning are:

1) 30-year-old Joshua Taylor of 509-631 MacDonald Avenue has been charged with one count of break and enter and commit an offence, two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon, one count of breach of probation and one count of possession of a weapon contrary to an order.

2) The passenger, an 18-year-old male, has been charged with one count of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Acct, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance, one count of unauthorized possession of a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon contrary to an order.
