************************* [Allegedly] impaired driver charged

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - (September 2) - On August 30 at 3 a.m., Sault Ste. Marie detachment officers pulled over a vehicle which was seen driving slowly behind Dinelle's County Market in Echo Bay.

The vehicle was stopped on Church Street and the driver found to be [allegedly] impaired.

Charged with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit is Joseph Jarell, age 48, of 375 Watsons Road in Echo Bay.

Jarell’s breath reading was [allegedly] greater than 240 milligrams [per 100 millilitres].

In addition, Jarell’s license was under suspension at the time of this incident and he has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act for driving under suspension.
