Joseph Guignard charged with drinking and driving

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - (January 19) - On January 15, 2009 at approximately 3:11 p.m. police received information of a possible impaired driver.

At 3:23 p.m. police located the vehicle.

Through investigation the driver was charged.

Charged with impaired operation and over 80 is Joseph Guignard (age 48) of Elliot Lake.

Guignard is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on March 3, 2009.

************************* Counterfeit $50

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - (January 19) - On January 16, 2009 police received a call from a local bank regarding a possible counterfeit bill.

Police investigated and it was determined that the $50 bill bearing serial number AHD3184887 was indeed counterfeit.

Anyone with information regarding the above counterfeit bill is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Investigation continuing.

************************* Broken window on Paris Drive

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - (January 19) - Police are currently investigating a broken window at an apartment building on Paris Drive in Elliot Lake.

On January 17, 2009 police attended 10 Paris Drive regarding a broken window.

Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) allegedly kicked the window beside an entrance door.

The window measures approximately 30 inches X 40 inches.

Estimated cost to replace the window is $300.
