Jordon Paim charged after bat assault

************************* Male wanted for assault with bat located by City Police

Eighteen-year-old Jordon Paim of #1-109 Wellington Street West was wanted for an assault [not exactly as illustrated] from the 18th of August involving a bat.

He was located walking on Manilla Terrace last evening and arrested.

He has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance and two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that he struck a person known to him in the face with a bat.

The victim had to attend at the hospital for treatment of non-life-athreatening injuries as a result.

At the time of the incidents the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and at the time of his arrest he was found in possession of a baggy of cocaine.

The accused is to appear in bail court this morning.
