NEWS RELEASE
On the 4th of April, members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service Street Team and Patrol Services executed a search warrant at 104 Second Line West.
During the course of the search, officers located 140 grams of marihuana, 14.5 oxycodone (percocet) tablets, 3 cannabis resin spliffs/cigarettes, 4 digital scales, various packaging materials, a quantity of cash, various drug paraphernalia and a container of pepper spray.
As a result, the resident, 25 year-old John Steven Bennett was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose to the public.
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $2884.00. The accused is to appear in court on the 7th of May.
