ABRIDGED NEWS RELEASE

PADDLING ONTARIO ALLIANCE

************************* TORONTO - Imagine yourself paddling past a moose in the morning mist or listening to the haunting howl of a wolf while lying under a sky filled with a million stars.

These exotic-sounding experiences are easy for you and your family to enjoy.

Meet the experts and find out how: world-renowned adventure journalists Gary and Joanie McGuffin [shown] are bringing the unique Northern Ontario wilderness experience to Calgary and allowing you to take it home. "We want to show people what is easily accessible in Northern Ontario, and provide them with the tools and knowledge to help them explore this summer" say Gary and Joanie McGuffin.

The photojournalists, conservationists and modern-day Canadian explorers will be on hand at the Calgary Adventure Show, March 31 - April 1.

[Pre-registrants] will receive a coupon for [a] free copy of In the Footsteps of Grey Owl written by the McGuffins (a $40 value).

The book is filled with stunning images and tells the story of their three-month canoe trip retracing an ancient forest trail.

Even more of the McGuffins' stunning images will be featured at a live presentation during the show.

"Our live presentation is going to focus on Quetico Provincial Park, because it's easy and appealing and it has all the right attributes to talk about traveling with a family" says Joanie McGuffin.

The McGuffins travel with their seven-year-old daughter.
