************************* Traffic complaint leads to impaired charge

MACDONALD TWP, ON – Yesterday evening at approximately 4:45 p.m., OPP were advised of a traffic complaint that a green Dodge caravan was veering all over the road eastbound on Highway 17B near Watson’s Road.

Officers in the area observed the vehicle travelling eastbound across the centre line and partially in the wrong lane, veering several times over the centre line.

The vehicle initially did not stop when police activated the police car’s lights and sirens but continued moving until stopped by police on Bar River Road.

The driver exhibited signs of impairment when questioned by police.

Arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol is 34-year-old Jason Rosenfield of 18 Crawford Street in Bruce Mines, Ontario.

He is to appear in court on April 20.
