CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

*********************** Around 4 a.m. this morning patrol officers observed a car driving at a high rate of speed heading northbound on Great Northern Road.

The car then turned left onto Second Line East at a high rate of speed causing its wheels to squeal.

Officers stopped the car on Second Line East and found the female driver showing obvious signs of impairment.

The female was taken into custody where it was also learned that she was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints from another criminal matter.

Janet Lee Day, age 37, of Cutler, Ontario will appear in bail court today after being charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of fail to provide a breath sample and one count of fail to appear for fingerprints.
