************************* Male arrested for driving over the legal limit:

This morning at 2:05 am members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 51-year-old male for driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in his system. It is alleged that the accused male was operating his motor vehicle on Wellington St. W. when he was stopped by police. Officers detected an odour of alcohol on the accused’s breath and a roadside test was performed and the accused registered a fail. James Cruickshank, age 51, of 242 Hudson St. is charged with one count of drive over 80 mgs. Mr. Cruickshank is to appear in court on Monday April 4th at 9:00 am.

************************* Female arrested for theft under $ 5,000.00:

Yesterday evening members of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested a 26-year-old female for theft under $ 5,000. It is alleged that the accused entered the Churchill Plaza Metro Store at approximately 7:00 pm and stole $ 63.45 worth of meats. The accused was apprehended by store security, outside the store and turned over to police. Krystal Hart, age 26, of 603 Queen St. E. Apt # 2 is charged with one count of theft under $ 5,000. Ms Hart is to appear in court on March 28th at 9:00 am.

************************* Break and enter:

An attempted break and enter to a garage was reported yesterday in then 100 block of Admiral Dr.

************************* Mischief:

City police received two complaints of vehicle tires being slashed in then 800 block of Peoples Rd. A truck window was damaged in the 100 block of Huntington Park.

************************* Theft:

A wallet was reported stolen from the 100 block of Old Garden River Rd.
