************************* Lesson to be learned

HAVILLAND TWP, ON - OPP responded to a call yesterday evening about two missing children from the Havilland Shores Drive area.

A call was received from the mother of a 7-year-old boy and a 10-year-old boy.

The boys had been biking around the area since 7 p.m.

By 8:30 p.m., the mother could not locate the boys after searching the area by foot and by vehicle.

Members of the OPP emergency response unit and the OPP canine unit were called to the scene.

At 9:40 p.m., the two youths returned to their residence on their own.

They had attended at a friend’s residence without telling a parent where they were going.

It is important to always tell an adult where are you are going.

************************* Youth charged with assault

HODGINS TWP, ON. – OPP were called to a family dispute yesterday evening at 9:15 p.m. in Searchmont.

The investigation revealed that a 15-year-old female had (allegedly) physically assaulted her mother by pushing and punching her in the chest and facial area.

No medical attention was required.

The 15-year-old female was arrested and charged with assault and breach of undertaking.

She was held in custody for bail court today.
