Only minor injuries were reported when a van and a half-ton truck pulling a trailer collided yesterday at Great Northern Road and McNabb Street.

The crash snarled noon-hout traffic at the busy intersection for about an hour.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage to their front ends and had to be towed away.

The half-ton was from Michigan.

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services assisted at the scene, dealing with leaking fluids and ensuring that air bags didn't discharge while drivers and/or passengers were still in the crashed vehicles.
