IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon died earlier this evening following a fiery crash at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Wheldon, 33, was involved in a crash that saw 14 other cars also involved.

The crash, which some of the drivers called the worst they had ever seen, also saw three other drivers injured.

"It was like a movie scene which they try to make as gnarly as possible," driver Danica Patrick told The Associated Press. "It was debris everywhere across the whole track, you could smell the smoke, you could see the billowing smoke on the back straight from the car. There was a chunk of fire that we were driving around. You could see cars scattered."
