Road construction projects underway in Sault Ste. Marie

SAULT STE. MARIE - Several projects will be completed this construction season in Sault Ste. Marie including road reconstruction and resurfacing.

Road reconstruction:

John Street - Bloor Street to Elm Street

Reconstruction project including storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and property restoration. Road will be closed from May to October. Open to local traffic only.

White Oak Drive - Carmen’s Way to North Street

Reconstruction project including storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and property restoration. Road will be closed from May to October. Open to local traffic only.

Queen Street East - Pim Street to Simpson Street

Reconstruction project including storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and property restoration. Road will be closed from May to October. Open to local traffic only. Please follow signed detours.

Euclid Road - Pim Street to Wemyss Street

Reconstruction project including storm and sanitary sewers, watermain, road, sidewalk, and property restoration. Road will be closed from June to October. Open to local traffic only.

Resurfacing:

Bruce Street from Salisbury Avenue to Wellington Street East - road will remain open during construction.

Allen’s Side Road from Third Line West to 1200m North - road will remain open during construction.

Peoples Road from Everett Road to Third Line East - road will remain open during construction.

Airport Road from Base Line to Airport Access Road - road will remain open during construction.

Commuters are asked to obey signed detours and plan ahead for construction delays.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks citizens for their patience while these important City projects are completed.
