Important notice for Ontario Works recipients

Due to the potential Canada Post labour disruption, Ontario Works will have cheques on pick up for the month of October. Only those recipients receiving payment via mail will be impacted. 

For those individuals receiving Ontario Works payments through direct bank deposit, payments will be deposited into your bank account as usual.

Cheques will be held at the Ontario Works office located at 540 Albert St. E. and can be picked up on Sept. 28 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Please bring your identification to avoid a delay in picking up your cheque. If you require further information about your payments please call your Case Manager.  

To prevent future delays Ontario Works recommends that all clients sign up for direct bank deposit.
