Illegal left turn alleged in Bay St collision

************************ Thirty-four-year-old Cynthia Ledue of Manitoba was issued a summons under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario following an accident that she was involved in at 10:17 p.m. yesterday on Bay Street at Tancred Street.

At that time, it is alleged that the accused was driving her car east on Bay Street and cut across the inside lane in an effort to turn left onto Tancred Street.

She had cut across the path of a truck that had been eastbound in the curb lane and her vehicle was subsequently struck.

The accused was charged with an improper left turn.

The accused and the 40-year-old driver of the pickup truck were uninjured in the collision while both vehicles sustained minor damage.
